Melissa is a director at the firm working with clients across a variety of industries. She is responsible for managing audits of non-profit organizations, employee benefit plans, and small to medium size businesses. She is also the lead professional working with our employee benefit plan practice. Melissa performs technical reviews of employee benefit plan audits and she is frequently called upon to assist with research regarding plan issues. Her experiences with benefit plans have been gained over many years and includes working with Internal Revenue Service examinations, voluntary plan corrections, self-correction of plan errors, etc.

MP is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountant’s Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center. Audits of employee benefit plans are unique and have complex issues that are different from those encountered with other financial statement audits. This Center assists us to meet the challenges of performing such audits. Melissa utilizes these resources to plan and perform quality audits, address plan issues, and other technical guidance.

Melissa holds a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Westfield State College having graduated Cum Laude and is active in our community. Melissa serves on the board of trustees of the Down Syndrome Resource Group of Western Massachusetts, the Chicopee Galaxy Youth Athletic Association, and Viability, Inc. and is the audit chair of Viability, Inc.
