Doug is a shareholder and President of the firm. He has over twenty five years of experience providing tax services to businesses and individuals. His experience working with businesses include formation planning, accounting method changes, reorganizations, acquisition and divestitures. He has serviced over the years industries ranging from, banking, manufacturing, construction, real estate, and private equity as well as others. His experience working with individuals includes high net worth families, executives of corporations, owners closely held businesses and private equity firms on a variety of issues relating to their personal financial needs including planning for; income taxes, wealth transfer, estate disposition, charitable funding and insurance needs.
Doug is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA).
Doug serves on the board of trustees of the Community Foundation of Western Massachusetts. He previously served on the boards of the Connecticut Western Mass Chapter of the American Heart Association, Hampden County Estate Planning Board and he was the Chair of the Western New England University Tax Institute.
Prior to joining the firm, Doug was a partner of PricewaterhouseCoopers and Arthur Andersen LLP. He received his B.S. in Accounting from Bryant University and his M.S. in Taxation from the University of Hartford. He is a veteran of the United States Navy.
